Unfortunately too many congregations are segregated….not by race, but by age. Because of that the church is suffering. Dr. Joneal Kirby of Heart to Home Ministry has witnessed the value of cross-generational female friendships. She is trying to encourage churches around the nation to think about the benefits of mentoring for women in today’s isolated,technology-driven landscape. It’s unfortunate but many churches don’t even realize they’re suffering because
of that segregation by ages and stages. As she began to search her Bible Dr. Kirby felt led to make changes in her own
church so she began a Titus Two Ministry. Writing that training program soon led to a book entitled: “Heartfelt” that
encourages women to get involved in a mentoring program for the next generation. As the program by Dr. Kirby became known by more and more people, it caught the attention of Miss Kay Robertson of the Duck Dynasty Television Program. Dr. Kirby writes about the success of the Titus Two program in her book “Heartfelt.” Dr. Kirby is troubled by the number of younger people leaving churches all around the country. Dr. Kirby prays her book “Heartfelt” is used by other churches to understandthe importance of passing the baton from one generation to the next.
