Changed Your Mind?

Changed Your Mind?

Is God on your mind?

Someone told me the other day the reason they read Christian books was because it made them more mindful of God. She was better able to keep her thoughts controlled all day long. This mindset-to be committed to a godly way of thinking-will almost guarantee you will be more godly in the way you act. The young woman who shared her successful tactic knows herself. In order to follow Christ she was battling her mind’s preoccupation with anything not of Him. Paul would agree with her. He wrote his opinion to the sisters and brothers In the church in Corinth,

“We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ.”

(1 Corinthians 10:5)

To truly follow God’s way as a woman in the 21st century, you do not need to be a great Bible teacher or even a strong leader. You do not have to be a trained counselor in order to lead others in their walk in Christ. You just need to reach out. In order to disciple another woman, you just need to be willing. To be vulnerable to another human being. To share your life with another. To give of yourself you do give some time. You make time for prayern and for God to speak to you by the Holy Spirit and you will have what you need to add to the spiritual life of another.

She will become a true friend in the faith.

Whats holding you back from extending yourself to another’s spiritual need? You only need the surrender of your heart to Jesus Christ and His calling to you. Has Jesus ever done anything for you? Where are you in your response to His relationship with you?

Can you share this with another? That’s it. It’s your story. Your simple testimony of God’s faithfulness in your life is all you need to know to bless another woman’s.

If you are a Christian today you are a believer who had the power of God within you to totally transform your life. God’s business is taking what is the weakest personal challenge and turning it into a blessing. It does this for you. He blesses you for the sake of others. Romans 8 explains.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

He blesses us because it enhances His calling on our lives. Think of Eve. The human who’s sin forever changed the world, humanity and our relationship with God Himself. God turned what satan meant for evil into a blessing. Eve became the mother of us all to serve God’s purpose for her.

Abraham’s dear Sarah was old, doubtful, untrusting of God. She became the Mother of the Israelite nation through God’s power. He blessed her and humanity through her. Through Sarah, God chose to pass on a legacy of faith and family which would eventually birth God’s son. Then there is sweet Mary. She was a youthful, immature, naive child when touched by God to not only carry the Christ child, Jesus but to raise Him, to nurture him to be all who God needed Him to be. Ordinary human beings who God blessed supernaturally because they surrendered to His will for their lives.

God doesn’t need another Beth Moore. He’s already got one!

He doesn’t need another Lysa Terkeurst. She’s already doing the job God needed to be done.

God doesn’t need a Kay Robertson nor any more Robertson women with another Dynasty. He’s already doing great things through them all.

He certain doesn’t need another Joneal.

What God needs is for you to step into the role He prepared you for.

As a mom. A wife. A grandmother.

A sister. An aunt. A friend.

He needs you to become that woman of God who no one else can take the place of. To your family and friends you are irreplaceable.

Be the Godly wife your husband needs desperately for you to be.

Be that sold-out committed Believer your children need to see their Mom being.

Be who God meant for you to be.

Be the Woman of God who will not give in. Or Give up.

Battle daily.

With God on your side you will win.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”

(Ephesians 6:10-11)

What is God calling you to do that you have been reluctant to do?

What do you need to do right now to follow God’s will for your life?

Are you a believer in Jesus Christ?
